Kathryn & Taylor are engaged!

I had the honor to be a part of this couples proposal last week and just wanted to share. Although I have only photographed 4 proposals, they have to be one of my favorite things to be a part of. Something about the almost James Bond like tactical planning makes me feel like I am a secret agent hiding around a corner.

For this proposal I was actually sitting in one of the pews of the church "fake praying" as the couple came in. I sat for about 10 minutes with my head in my folded hands peeking though a couple fingers waiting to be able to pick up my camera without Kathryn noticing. I think that my heart beat must been audible from the parking lot it was beating so fast.

Again such a blessing and an honor to asked be a part of such an intimate part of life.

They invited me to the house to celebrate with their families....

Tran Family...

I had a chance to catch up with these guys recently and wanted to post a couple of my favorites from their session. They are such a beautiful family and I am always honored to be able to photograph their family. Thanks to my good friend Mark Eric for coming down and shooting as well. It is always fun getting to shoot side by side with him.

Blue Cross "Shot Face" Ad Campaign

I had the opportunity to recently shoot an ad campaign for Blue Cross Blue Sheild of Louisiana that they are currently running and I wanted to share a few of my favorites. I was shooting people giving their "shot face" (the face they give when they are being given a shot) and pretty funny to see everyone's reaction when you ask for it. One of the cool things about the campaign is that they are accepting other "shot faces" and you can enter your own to win a free Apple iPod. Visit http://www.takeyourbestshotla.com/ to enter your image (or you can just go to vote for me... you can't miss my image :)

Jessica & Chris Engagements

I had the pleasure of shooting Jessica & Chris at Rip Van Winkle Gardens as well as downtown Abbeville. Such a fantastic couple and I can't wait until their wedding. Blessings. Jason

Just a few film images for fun ;)

Saturday morning dance

Just a couple from a recent morning at Café Des Amis in Breaux Bridge, LA. If you ever have the chance to go out for their Saturday morning, "Zydeco Breakfast", it is truly like stepping into the past. It is one of the few places where you get a sense that things have been the same for the last 20 years. Very little other places will you see no division between sex, social status, or color in Louisiana. Just a few of my favorites from the morning.

Portraits of random people I will probably never see again

The title pretty much says it all... It has been a while since I have had the chance to just put up some personal street shooting work and I just wanted to share a few. I haven't actually been shooting much personal work and after looking through some old work it makes me want to get out and shoot some more... I love how I didn't know any of these people outside the 2-3 minutes of shooting them, but looking back at their faces makes me want to know more about their story. I will include what I know about each person and where I shot it.

Maybe some personal work is in my near future.

Val & Tyler are married!

What can I say... What an event... I have had the privilege of being there when Val & Tyler were engaged and it seems like it was only yesterday that I was sitting in the same place waiting for Val to walk down the aisle for Tyler to propose. It is truly special when I am able to join such close friends for their wedding and it was an honor for them to have me there and photograph it.

Also I had the amazing time of shooting with my good friend Mark Eric who has some of the images up as well here. Mark brought an incredible dynamic to the day and has some fabulous images. It was so much fun to see the images that he came away with from the day.

Make sure to check out the incredible video from Bride Film that they edited the same day here! It brought tears to my eyes watching it again.

Just a few of my favorites.

Ashley & Brad Wedding

Just a few of my favorites from their wedding at Rip Van Winkle Gardens in New Iberia. Never before have I had a wedding move places during the ceremony because of the weather, but this one was a crazy one (as you will see below). They were such an amazing couple and I was so glad to be able to join them for their wedding. Blessings. Jason
