Blue Cross "Shot Face" Ad Campaign

I had the opportunity to recently shoot an ad campaign for Blue Cross Blue Sheild of Louisiana that they are currently running and I wanted to share a few of my favorites. I was shooting people giving their "shot face" (the face they give when they are being given a shot) and pretty funny to see everyone's reaction when you ask for it. One of the cool things about the campaign is that they are accepting other "shot faces" and you can enter your own to win a free Apple iPod. Visit http://www.takeyourbestshotla.com/ to enter your image (or you can just go to vote for me... you can't miss my image :)

Sisters of Our Lady of Sorrows

I had the chance to collaborate a couple weeks ago with my good friends Jamie Orillion & Daniel Kedinger of Crucé Design to photograph the Sisters of Charity in Shreveport, LA. It was an amazing two days of shooting and I was so thankful for them to open up their doors and lives to us.  They commited to working with others through education, caring for the sick, the aging, and the poor. It was an honor to be able to spend some time with them and to spend a few days in a place that was so far outside of what my normal life is like. Truly refreshing.

Blessings. Jason

Day 30 - Creative Shoot

I had the opportunity to schedule a shoot while my good friend Ben Spell was in over the Christmas break. I had been wanting to do something like this for a while, and everything ended up falling into place for this one... Our real hope was just to take the time to set up things and not rush from one shot to the other... Special thanks to Keri & Tory for coming out and modeling for us. Here are just a few of my favorites. Blessings. Jason

Blue Cross Angel Awards

This year I had the privileged of being a part of photographing this years winners of the Blue Cross Blue Shield of Louisiana Angel Award. Every year BCBSLA gives away $20,000 to 8 different organizations that work with bettering the lives of youth. This Thursday is the actual awards nights where all of the sideshows that we photographed/compiled will be shown and I hope to be able to share some of them here. For now I just wanted to share an image from each of the winners, and I will be out for the remainder of this week getting everything finished up for the awards. I hope that everyone has a beautiful weekend. Blessings. Jason

Suzanne Perron Gowns & Brides.com competition!

I have been shooting a bit for my good friend and gown designer Suzanne Perron, finishing up a project that will turn into a book published by LSU press. Needless to say, it has been amazing to work on and I was so honored that she chose me to work with her. A couple of weeks ago she called me ecstatic that one of her gowns had made it to the finals for a brides.com competition. This past week we had the chance to photograph the gown again and I just wanted to post a link to the competition. I am really excited for her and also that we got some fantastic images of the beautiful gown! If you have time please vote at the link below (hers is dress #11).

Also I will include some of my favorite images below from our last shoot!

Suzanne Perron Gowns!

This past week I had the chance to spend some time in New Orleans shooting for gown designer Suzanne Perron. You may have remembered Jolie & Richard's wedding, and Jolie had one of Suzanne's custom, one of a kind gowns. Suzanne makes custom once-in-a-lifetime couture bridal & debutante gowns. It was amazing to be able to see some of her other gowns and to be able to see the entire process. She and her staff were incredible to work with. They pay such attention to detail with her gowns. I even had the chance to see her sketch out a design for an upcoming bride's gown. We shot some at her beautiful shop on Magazine St. and also in a gorgeous home in New Orleans. Make sure to view more of her gowns at her website here. I hope that we will be working again in the future and here are just a couple from the day.

Also thanks to my good friends Jamie Orillion & Beebe Tran for coming down to help me out for the day.

Blessings. Jason

Great Harvest Bread Company

Last week I had the opportunity to do some work for Great Harvest , which is a local bakery. Not only do they have amazing bread/sweets/sandwiches, but they are also awesome people. If you haven't gotten a chance to go by and try some of their goodies make sure to go out of your way to make the trip :) I promise you that you will not be disappointed! Blessings. Jason

Blue Cross Angel Awards - Day 5

We headed up North these past couple days and our first stop was Shreveport Louisiana to spend some time with Mr. Ray (or as he would correct me "Ray"). It was great to see the work he is doing in developing leaders through service learning. We had the chance to see the community garden where high school students have given their time to help revitalize a neighborhood. Here are just a couple images from our time with him. Blessings. Yesterday we got a chance to hear Ms. Dee's story about how she works with children who are coming into the foster care system by giving them stuffed animals and something safe to go into the uncertain world that they are thrown into. It was so beautiful to hear her story and here are a couple images. Blessings. Jason

Here are a couple from one of the finalists who works with migrant workers children. I hope that I can share a bit as I go so be sure to check back daily for updates. Blessings. Jason
