 I got a text last week from a friend letting me know that I had been nominated for The Times of Acadiana "Best of Acadiana" in the Photographer Category! On the road....

I have been a bit behind the last week or two with blogging as I have been on the road a bit. I have been shooting a bit of commercial work which I have been enjoying. I just wanted to share a couple from a shoot that Jamie was helping me on... He was "testing the light" for me. More updates soon!

Jackson's Smile

Things have been a little hectic with the crazy wedding season being full force, but I just wanted to take a chance to post something a little different. I was just visiting my good friend Riccis Valladares' blog and wanted to share something that he is doing. You will have to goto his site to view the entire story, but he and a bunch of photographers are selling prints to help give a child (Jackson) a smile. Jackson was born with "Simpson Golabi Behmel" as well as a cleft lip & palate, and the funds raised by the print sales will go towards the surgeries that he will need to give him a smile.

There are several great photographers involved in the website and there are really some fantastic prints being offered.

I am ordering a print from Riccis and I encourage everyone to go online and get a print for this awesome cause.

Suzanne Perron Gowns!

This past week I had the chance to spend some time in New Orleans shooting for gown designer Suzanne Perron. You may have remembered Jolie & Richard's wedding, and Jolie had one of Suzanne's custom, one of a kind gowns. Suzanne makes custom once-in-a-lifetime couture bridal & debutante gowns. It was amazing to be able to see some of her other gowns and to be able to see the entire process. She and her staff were incredible to work with. They pay such attention to detail with her gowns. I even had the chance to see her sketch out a design for an upcoming bride's gown. We shot some at her beautiful shop on Magazine St. and also in a gorgeous home in New Orleans. Lynn & Dave are Married!

Lynn & Dave had a beautiful wedding this past weekend at Houma's House in Darrow, Louisiana. They were such an amazing couple and all of the rain didn't phase them.
