A while back I went with a friend (Ben Spell) to hang out and photograph a bit at Festival Acadian. This is an annual festival in Lafayette that is a blast and I finally got around to posting some images. Most of them are of this one guy who was really dancing it up. And yes, he is actually doing a flip in one of the photos (the whole time while dancing)! Blessings.

Anna & Daniel are Engaged!!
My good friend Daniel asked me to photograph his proposal to his girlfriend (now future wife) today and here are just a couple photos from that before I run off to a wedding. I was literally hiding in the bushes and it felt like I was some in some kind of top secret mission :) Congrats to Daniel and Anna!!! Blessings.

Clay Pots - and thoughts that have nothing to do with them
I was at a wedding this weekend talking with someone and they asked me, "tell me about a bridezilla that you have had." I immediately started going through my memory to see if I could remember any in particular, and quickly realized that I have had none.
I realized in that moment how fortunate I have been to have such awesome brides that have chosen to have me on their wedding day. I just wanted to write a little post to say thanks to all of my brides who have chosen me and allow me to continue to do what I love.
Blessings.

Random shot of the week.....
Sara and Will's Wedding!
Every once in a while I get back to my computer to look at a wedding and I am remembered of how blessed I am to do what I love for a living. For myself, showing up and photographing a wedding is not just work, but it is part of who I am and what I love.
Sara and Will got married this weekend at L`Eglise and were such an awesome couple with such an immense love for each other and life. Sara looked so elegant the entire day and Will was such a joy to be around (even though we had not met until the wedding day:). We had such a great time with them on their wedding day and here are a couple shots.
Blessings.

Blair and Reagan Engagements!
Pack and Paddle and "Tha Wookie"
So my good friends at Pack and Paddle were having a grand opening of their new "room" this past Saturday and I brought my camera along to catch some of the action. If you have not seen the new room, you have to go by and check it out.... They are going to have speakers coming through along with other events, which you can check for updates at Pack & Paddle ...... Anyways they had Nate Olive, aka. "Tha Wookie", come and talk about his hike from Canada to Mexico (all on foot!). You can read more about him and also about the cool thing he is doing called "Trekking for Children" at thawookie.com
Anyways, I thought I would share a couple images and here they are...

Bridal Show.
I was a vendor at a bridal show in Lafayette this weekend and just thought I would post a couple photos from my booth. The show was lots of fun and it was great to meet so many brides-to-be. The flowers were provided by Flowers Etc. , they looked so good that I had a couple people ask if I was a florist. Here are the pics. Blessings. Jason
Shivani and George Wedding.
This past weekend we had a blast at Shivani and George's wedding in Houston, TX. There was a morning Hindu ceremony in the morning and a Christian ceremony in the afternoon. Shivani looked so beautiful in all day long. It was so amazing to see the contrast between the beautiful vibrant colors of the morning and the simple elegance of the night. Here are just a couple from the wedding. The first one was from a minor hickup in the morning... If you ask me I will tell you the story :)
I am a godfather!
Our good friends had Lydia Florea Deroche last week and we swung by to say hi to our new godchild (and of course for me to snap a couple pics). She is SOOOO beautiful, even thought I have somewhat of an aversion to small children (I always think I am going to drop them). Anyways, congratulations to Kyle and Sarah on the new beautiful addition to their family.
Email woes.....
So... I realized on Saturday that I had not received any junk mail in almost a week (usually it seems like 10 an hour), and then realized it was not only junk mail I was not receiving, but ALL mail! So, if you just happened to email me within the last week please resend it so I can make sure to get it.ÂÂ
Corey McNabb + Aston Martin = Hotlanta
I recently attended a workshop put on by Lacour Photographers out of Atlanta and got to hang out with some of the coolest and most talented photographers on the planet! On the last night of the workshop we came back to the hotel from dinner and there was an Aston Martin parked out front. Corey told me that this was always his dream car and got me to snap a couple with his point-and-shoot digital camera. After looking at the sub-par images from the point-and-shoot, I told him to wait right there and ran up to my room to grab a camera and some flashes. Below are just a couple from the shoot.
Tag!!
So I guess there is this new thing going around and you can be "tagged" and you have to blog 8 facts about yourself. Well ....... my friend Kelly Moore tagged me, so here are 8 facts you might just not know about me.....
Jessica and Brandon Wedding!
Fun times in Oregon...
Good Morning America!!!
So I got a call from my friend Mark Eric this week to ask me to come up and shoot for a Good Morning America "Trash the Dress" special and just thought I would share. Please watch Good Morning America this Saturday morning (June 16th) to check it out. I actually spent most of the shoot in chest waders in the bayou!!! This was tons of fun and thanks so much mark for inviting me to come out!!! Here are a couple images from the shoot.
Blessings.

Lyndsey and John Wedding!
We had a great time with Lyndsey and John this weekend at their wedding at Jefferson Island. The day was absolutely gorgeous and they could not have asked for better weather. They decided to see each other before, so we had some great light to shoot to shoot in. I knew that when they first walked into my office that they were such a fun couple and I had been looking forward to this wedding for a while. Here are a couple pics from there wedding, we really got some great ones.
This is probably one of my favorite ring shots ever! They had a great Cajun/Zydeco band and I/Jory had a great idea for this ring shot.
Sara and Dave Engagement.
I always enjoy photographing friends, because we know each other a bit better and a lot of times I can get a couple more laughs out of them. I have known Dave and Sara for a couple years now and I am so excited that their wedding is coming up soon. We had a great time today and be on the look out for their upcoming wedding.
