I had the chance to be with Michelle & Josh this week for their engagements in Houston and it was great getting to know them. I just wanted to put up a quick post and share a couple bits of good news.... Jamie, Ben, & I left yesterday to see my good friend Jason Domingues and get some photographic rejuvenation. Yesterday we spent the entire day in the car but I managed to get a couple shots off. I am looking forward to the next couple days ! Blessings. Jason

Ben & I decided to take a little time off today and headed down to New Orleans to shoot a bit on the street. We got this idea from an online website and wanted to see how people would react. The first one pretty much shows exactly what was going down... All of these were shot with my m8 & 35 or 50 Have a great weekend and enjoy.

What a week! It seems like this entire week I have been almost on a roller coaster. Last week I posted a link to the "Don't Box Us In" article, and this week I was constantly challenged by my own words. As I wrote the interview last week, I was asked why I wake up every morning and do what I do. This week my words came back to remind me that at the end of the day I do this because I love this. I was recently asked by some good friends of mine over at "Don't Box Us In" (aka DBUI) to do an interview on their site and I was absolutely flattered. DBUI is an awesome source for photographers to think "outside of the box" and get some inspiration. The interview went live on their site today and I am super excited about having the opportunity. Today is Earth Day! I am not completely Earth Day savy, but Ben reccomended that I put up a post in celebration... Yesterday I had a chance to hear Harry Benson speak at Tulane in New Orleans and it was truly inspiring. He has photographed every president since Eisenhower, was with Robert Kennedy when he was shot, and even followed the Beatles for their first US tour! It was so nice to hear a photographer who had so much life experience and was so humble. The biggest thing that I took from the event was something that he said, "I try to photograph people as they are and not as I see them." (hopefully that is pretty close). I had a wedding out of town today and tried to shoot a bit while out and about. I have been really trying to keep my m8 with me at all times, and it was a good thing that I had it today!
