Taylor and Ruthie had a wonderful wedding this weekend in River Ranch and I thought I might share a couple images. This was my first time shooting a wedding at Town Square in River Ranch (I don't think they have had many) and it was such a gorgeous backdrop. Ruthie actually can up to the ceremony on horse & carriage and the day turned out to be amazing. Earlier in the day it looked like it was going to rain, but it turned out to be perfect!
So I actually took today off and went on a little photo excursion with Ben down South and just thought I might share a couple images. Enjoy.
This one was by far my favorite image of the day. I passed up this guy and his horse and quickly whipped around. I asked him if he minded us taking a couple photos of him and he was totally cool about it. I think he said his horse's name was Zenon.

Ben had this idea to run after the birds in this shot and get a cool shot of all of the birds. As you can tell we didn't very close to the birds before they flew away.
This past weekend I had the honor to photography Aimee and Jacob's wedding in Lafayette. The entire wedding was so beautiful and we really had a blast. I went through and selected a couple of my favorites to share. Blessings.

There are not many days that I feel as an artist I take an image that "defines" who I am. Today however was different. I had such a great shoot with Lauren and Scott and got some really great images. I was fortunate enough to be a part of Lindsey and Casey's wedding in Baton Rouge last weekend. I originally met Lindsey at a bridal show over a year ago and got to spend some time with her at a recent wedding she was at in Destin. I had a great time with both of them and here are just a couple from the wedding. blessings.

Last night Jen and I had about 30 people at our house (keep in mind that we have seating for like 12 between the living room and dining room) for our 2nd annual White Elephant Party. I figured I would break out the Leica and shoot a couple of some of our guests. I will try and let you know who they are with the photo below. So I had a little toy (Leica M8 + 50mm Summicron f2) come in the mail yesterday and I figured that I would post a couple photos from the new camera. So far I am really digging the camera and looking forward to shooting with it in the future. Here are just a couple. Blessings.

You may have seen a couple images a while back from right after Lydia was born (literally just a couple hours old). Well... this past Sunday Jen and I joined Sarah and Kyle for her baptism. Carrie and Dana had such a beautiful wedding at L'Eglise a couple of weekends ago. They decided to see each other before had and we had some really great shots from before the weedding. It was actually the first time I had shot a wedding that was completely (almost) dark outside (thanks to Shawn from Acadiana Video for the extra video light). So I received a copy of American Photo yesterday and it just happened to have one of my images in it under the Images of the Year Competition. I actually didn't know that I was going to be one of the finalist in the magazine and I was extremely surprised when I got it in yesterday. If you get a chance pick up a copy of the magazine at your local bookstore! Blessings.

I had Katie and Ryan's wedding a couple weeks ago at ESA chapel and Townhouse. It was so awesome to be a part of their wedding and I always love the ones that are tearjerkers, which theirs was. One of my favorite images from their wedding is below, which is the ones where Katie wipes a tear from her fathers eye and the next image is him looking at her immediately after. As I was taking the image I knew that it instantly would be one of my favorites. Here are just a couple more.

I had a great time with Tanika and Dominick (and their two kids) last week. I had only met Tanika briefly at a bridal show before she booked, so it was great to get to spend a little bit of time with her and her family. It has been so great getting to know Sarah and Lawrence since our first meeting, through their engagement session, and I was really looking forward to their wedding.
