I just wanted to put up something to let everyone know that I am out of the office this weekend and a bit of this coming week to finish up on an ongoing project that I have been working on in the last 2 months. Sorry for the delay in getting back to any previous emails and hopefully I will be able to get back to everyone late next week. I just thought that I would just post a couple images from a recent shoot that we had some fun on. We ended up setting up a light at a friends dorm room at LSU and shot random people as they would come by... Here are just a couple of us from the shoot... Early this week I had the chance to spend two days in New Orleans catching up friends and shooting a bit for myself. Alot of these were shot between 5:45-7am around the french quarter.. Last week I had the opportunity to do some work for Great Harvest , which is a local bakery. Not only do they have amazing bread/sweets/sandwiches, but they are also awesome people. If you haven't gotten a chance to go by and try some of their goodies make sure to go out of your way to make the trip :) I promise you that you will not be disappointed! Blessings. Jason

Wow is all that I can say about today. We interviewed Ms. Chris at her underground house in Minden LA (it was not a typo, it is an actual underground house!) It was amazing to hear her story and see some of the kids that have been affected by her life with the arts. Blessings. Jason

We headed up North these past couple days and our first stop was Shreveport Louisiana to spend some time with Mr. Ray (or as he would correct me "Ray"). It was great to see the work he is doing in developing leaders through service learning. We had the chance to see the community garden where high school students have given their time to help revitalize a neighborhood. Here are just a couple images from our time with him. Blessings. Yesterday we got a chance to hear Ms. Dee's story about how she works with children who are coming into the foster care system by giving them stuffed animals and something safe to go into the uncertain world that they are thrown into. Today we had the chance to spend some time and photograph Ms. Carolyn, who works with volunteers in the public school system in Baton Rouge. We shot in total for 10 hours today, so needless to say we were all exhausted. Here are just a couple... Blessings. Jason
I have been behind a bit on blogging so I thought that I would just share a little bit of work from a project that I will be working on in the next couple weeks. Every year Blue Cross Blue Shield of Louisiana gives money to people who are "angels" in their community and I have the honor of photographing the people who are finalists for this years Angel Awards. I had my first Saturday off this weekend since March and I headed over to Baton Rouge to hang out with the Trans & Jim at a wedding (my wife says something about how I can't sit still for a moment... even when I am off :) I had such a good time with them at the wedding (not to mention it was a great wedding). After talking to alot of people over the last couple months and I came up with the idea to have a "Camera Club" just to get together with other people who enjoy taking pictures. There are no requirements to come other than just that you have a passion for photography, not matter on what level you are at. Feel free and bring a camera or some pictures if you want to get some feedback or just come with yourself. It should be alot of fun and I am really hoping for a good turn out... So much that the I will buy drinks for the first 10 people who show up :) I am going to leave this post up for a couple days on the top of my blog... Be sure and scroll down for recent work...

After dealing with some focusing problems in the last couple weeks with my Canon cameras I decided to give Nikon a bit of a try. Beebe Tran let me play with his D3 a bit this weekend and I decided to buy one this week to really put through the phases. I spent most of this week in the office but I did get a chance to shoot a bit of the people and things that are around me every day and here are a couple images. Hopefully after shooting this weekend I will be able to have some more feedback on the camera, but for now I am really liking it. Blessings. Jason
You might recognize Hannah's name from my recommended vendors page as she was previously the wedding coordinator at Townhouse Restaurant & Catering. She has since moved to City Club and I am super excited for her. She is an outstanding events coordinator (not to mention a great friend). Ben, Beebe & I had an absolute blast with Claire and Tom this weekend. Claire had a beautiful ceremony at St. Joseph's Church in Rayne and reception at River Oaks in Lafayette. The trolley actually broke down on the way to the reception (I should have put Ben on the trolley) and neither of them were phased. The whole day was absolutely beautiful and I just wanted to share a few. Blessings. Jason

My good friend Beebe Tran came down this weekend to help me out with my wedding and hang out with Ben and I. Beebe and his wife Corine were nominated as Blu Domain's "Photographers of the Year" and not only are they outstanding photographers, but they are also great friends.
