Ben, I, & Bethany had the chance to head down to New Orleans to hang out with Corine, Beebe, & Ethan on Friday to spend a bit of time with them and get some new pictures of Ethan. We had a great time dodging the rain and this time headed south to get some pictures outside of the City. We almost got kicked out of the first location... Always an adventure... This is the last time Ben & I will be able to shoot with them before he leaves so I included him in a couple.. Blessings. Jason
I was down in New Orleans this weekend for the weekend and had the chance to shoot a bit of personal work while I was down there. The first image is of someone who Ben & I met at a coffee shop in the quarter. We probably sat and talked to him for over an hour about his life, his tattoos, Vietnam, and how agent orange had taken his leg. It was amazing to hear his story and his outlook on life. One thing that stuck with me was how he dealt with everything in loosing his leg. He said that he could not understand why people wait to really enjoy ever day until they had some sort of serious illness or major life altering event. For him loosing his leg just made him appreciate his life more. The first shot is one of Billy. Blessings. Jason

This past weekend I had the chance to join my Cousin for her wedding in New Orleans. The entire day was beautiful and Charlie certainly is a lucky man! This one is a bit of a long post, but I knew that if I didn't put more of her up than anyone else she might take me out of her will or something :) Congrats Coreil & Charlie! Blessings. Jason

You might recognize Hannah's name from my recommended vendors page as she was previously the wedding coordinator at Townhouse Restaurant & Catering. She has since moved to City Club and I am super excited for her. She is an outstanding events coordinator (not to mention a great friend). I am sad to say, but Ben will be leaving at the end of the month to goto Hallmark Institute of Photography :( I have started to train my new Assistant/Second shooter and I figured that I would give her a formal introduction on the blog. Yesterday Jen, Ben, & I headed down to New Orleans for what Monica thought was a "portfolio shoot" but in reality was for James to propose. This past week has been a bit crazy and I just wanted to put up a quick post since I will be out of the office most likely until Wednesday. Camille & James had a beautiful wedding at Springhill College in Mobile, AL this Saturday. It has been awesome getting to know them over the past 18 months (she booked 18 months in advance - talk about on top of things!) and she did such an amazing job planning her wedding. It is hard to believe that I was in Kansas less than 36 hours ago and that our trip came to a close almost as quickly as it started. If I can think of one word to sum this trip up it is: refreshed. It was almost like though all of the shooting/editing/emailing I had begun to forget why I do this and every day became routine. I was reminded by everyone of my love for picking my camera and shooting the things that I pass up every day that are beautiful. I always love opportunities where I can "stretch" myself a bit and this past weekend my good friend Mark Eric let me tag along on a wedding and I only shot with my m8. I had a great time with mark and I just wanted to share a couple. This was my first time shooting anything with my new 15mm for the Leica and the funnest part is that it is virtually a guess.... There is no way to focus it (other than guessing the distance in feet) so I ended up shooting with it literally on my hip most of the day! Congrats to Tammy & Jeremy! Blessings. Jason
