I got a chance to spend a couple days in Vegas with friends at WPPI and was able to do some shooting. I will be out of town this coming week for some shoots in NYC and some personal shooting. Rodney - A story of hope

I got a chance to travel with my friend Loren down to the Home of Grace this past week and hear Rodney's story. Rodney met up with Loren right after hurricane Gustav and in the last 4 months has had his world turned upside down. He had an amazing story of hope and I can't wait to be able to share the rest of what is going on in his life. I did something completely against my norm this week and actually took an entire day off to myself... Surprising huh (at least to my wife). Jamie Orillion & I had a blast taking off and getting out of town. It was so good to get behind the camera with no real agenda and I am super excited going into the rest of my shoots this week! Hurricane Gustav - A visual story

Yesterday I had the chance to shoot a bit in a couple of the harder hit areas that were affected by Gustav. It was amazing talking to the people down there and the common thread among everyone was hope. I am working on a slideshow with audio interviews, but I wanted to be able to give a quick preview.... This shot is of a priest who is praying inside of the steeple that blew off his church during the storm.

Jen & I had an opportunity to help out a little bit this week at United Way working with Food Net to put together food boxes for areas that were hit hard with the hurricane. This week has been a bit crazy since the hurricane and it was great to get out and help a little bit. I just wanted to share a little bit since I didn't get a chance to shoot much this week until today. Strangers on the Street
