Kansas City - Day 1

I am spending a couple days this week visiting my good friend Jason Domingues with Jamie for a much needed break and some R&R. M8 shots of the week - Ernest Babineaux

This week I had the opportunity to spend some time with my good friend Ben Spell, who was in from photography school in Massachusetts, shooting some for Parish to Parish and other personal work. On our way out to Parks, LA we passed by a house that caught my eye and I knew that we had to stop in. Mr. Babineaux gladly allowed us to photograph him and his house and shared a bit of his life with us in the process. Right now I am entering the craziest time for me in the year and it was so refreshing to slow down, take out my camera, and spend some time with a stranger. I need to do that more often. Below are just a couple images that were my favorites.

Hannah & Jarrid Engagements

Last week I had the chance to spend some time with Hannah & Jarrid on their engagements in Breaux Bridge. You may remember a somewhat recent blog post that I had with Hannah's head shots (she is the amazing coordinator at City Club in Lafayette). We such a good time with them and I couldn't wait to post just a couple. I just wanted to throw up a quick post to say thanks so much to Mark Eric for coming down to help me shoot this weekend. As may know I was out with the flu so this was really a big help for me. Camera Club - December

We had an awesome time at our last camera club meeting and I just wanted to share a few... The assignment was a self portrait and I am really looking forward to seeing what everyone has from this last assignment. Camera Club - The results!

First off let me just say thanks to everyone who came tonight to join us for the first "camera club." I really had a great time meeting everyone and hearing about your passion for photography and learning. Sometimes it is nice to drop all of the formalities of the photography business and just talk with other people about their love for taking pictures. I hope that everyone comes out again next time and I will be keeping updates on the blog as soon as we decide all of the specifics. Join us for the first ever Camera Club meeting...

After talking to alot of people over the last couple months and I came up with the idea to have a "Camera Club" just to get together with other people who enjoy taking pictures. There are no requirements to come other than just that you have a passion for photography, not matter on what level you are at. Feel free and bring a camera or some pictures if you want to get some feedback or just come with yourself. It should be alot of fun and I am really hoping for a good turn out... So much that the I will buy drinks for the first 10 people who show up :) I am going to leave this post up for a couple days on the top of my blog... Be sure and scroll down for recent work...

Tran Family!

Ben, I, & Bethany had the chance to head down to New Orleans to hang out with Corine, Beebe, & Ethan on Friday to spend a bit of time with them and get some new pictures of Ethan. We had a great time dodging the rain and this time headed south to get some pictures outside of the City. We almost got kicked out of the first location... Always an adventure... Hannah Stuart - City Club Wedding Coordinator

You might recognize Hannah's name from my recommended vendors page as she was previously the wedding coordinator at Townhouse Restaurant & Catering. She has since moved to City Club and I am super excited for her. She is an outstanding events coordinator (not to mention a great friend). Wedding with Mark & m8

I always love opportunities where I can "stretch" myself a bit and this past weekend my good friend Mark Eric let me tag along on a wedding and I only shot with my m8. I had a great time with mark and I just wanted to share a couple. This was my first time shooting anything with my new 15mm for the Leica and the funnest part is that it is virtually a guess.... There is no way to focus it (other than guessing the distance in feet) so I ended up shooting with it literally on my hip most of the day! Congrats to Tammy & Jeremy! Blessings. Jason
