So I somewhat recently got a ringlight and have been testing it out. It provides this distinctive look that cannot really be achieved with any other type of light. Be on the lookout on some upcoming weddings for shots like this one of my assistant Bonnie (who might kill me for putting this up).

Last night I had the opportunity to photograph Angelique and Brandon's rehearsal/dinner. Even though it was raining it was a great event with fun times and great food. I thought it would be fun to shoot all natural light and everything in black and white, which I absolutely love. I was in Dallas/FT. Worth last weekend for a photo seminar for a couple of days. I got to meet some great photographers and learned a whole lot. Here are some sample images from the seminar, thanks Jennifer and Ross for your sharing hearts and allowing me to post these images.
What a great wedding.... Before the wedding I actually did not have the opportunity to meet Shelley or Dominick, but what a wonderful couple. I had the chance to shoot some in New Orleans this weekend and it was an absolute blast. I had the opportunity to shoot some with an upcoming bride and groom and also another up and coming photographer (Amy, who was helping me with a wedding Saturday night) with her fiancee. I had a great time hanging out with friends this week at Wesley Ministries and doing some photography for them. It is funny how you can really tell the personality of each person through their photo. If you are ever hungry on a Monday at noon they also have free lunch on UL's campus.

Yesterday a good friend (Tim Schooler) let me borrow a lens and I thought I would just share a couple that I shot while testing. The first one is of my wife and our new kitty. Be aware people, this animal may look calm and cool in photos, but in real life she is a monster!!!
Also I had a good friend over who is leaving to go off to college in Virginia on Wednesday. We have been friends for a while so it is sad to see him go but I know he is off to great things.

For the past year I have really been wanting to photograph some night sessions with a Bride and Groom in dress and tux. Well... when Jory told me that he would do it and his Wife, Val, still had her wedding dress in my mind it was already done. We had an awesome shoot, and now my favorite time to shoot is at night!

Sara and Brennan's wedding was last weekend (almost caught up on blog). What a beautiful couple!! After shooting their engagement photos I knew that this would be a wonderful couple to work with. Even with the rain we got some great images and had a wonderful time.

When I first met Stacey and she told me that she was having a Wednesday wedding I was kindda like "huh." Then she told me the awesome story about how her mother had gotten married on the same day and she wanted to keep the tradition. This wedding was absolutely beautiful (hopefully you will be able to tell by the photos) and this couple was an absolute pleasure to work with. I just wish that I had couples this great to work with every weekend (or weekday).

On Saturday I was fortunate enough to be able to photograph Miranda and Craig's wedding in Kinder Louisiana. This couple was such a great couple to work with. Sometimes you see couples that you are sure are made for each other and this was definetley one of them.
