Happy 2010 & Personal Work January :)12.31.2009

I have been thinking about doing this for a while now, and I figured that since the new year is starting it would be a great opportunity to actually go through with it…. So here it is…..

Every day in January I will post at least one personal image and share a little bit of the story behind the image.  Sometimes it is so easy to get caught up in just going through the day-to-day that it is easy to forget why I got into photography in the first place, which is to be behind the camera. Personal work has a huge effect on all of the other types of work that I do and I notice that as I get away from shooting personal work, I start to get low on creative juices to go into other shoots.

My primary job as a photographer is simply to capture story. I hope that through these images in the next month I can bring you into the story that I hope to constantly seek to find everyday.

This month is just an experiment of sorts for myself, that I would be able to #1 keep up with blogging every day (7 days a week :) & #2 to get out and shoot for myself. I hope that you would check back every couple of days and feel free to leave comments as I would love to hear your thoughts.

Blessings.
Jason

Sadie & Jordy – Save the Date Designs…12.27.2009

I just wanted to share a few of the different designs that my good friend, amazing wedding planner, and all around uber talented Valerie Metrejean of Southern Fete & Butterscotch Press designed for Sadie & Jordy’s save the date cards. Val is coordinating the day of Sadie & Jordy’s wedding and did the design/printing of their save the date cards. They look absolutely fantastic and I just wanted to post a couple designs…. The first one is the one that they went with for their actual save the date.

Blessings.

Kelli & Cas are Married!12.18.2009

They had a beautiful wedding at the St. Louis Cathedral & reception at Pat Obrien’s on the water in New Orleans. One thing I can say is that these people knew how to party (see dancing pictures below)! We had an absolute blast with everyone and here are a few of my favorites…
