I just wanted to put up a couple more images from my trip. It was really great to get a break and I feel so refreshed coming into this weekends weddings (even with the lack of sleep from last night’s late night critique). Who needs more than 45 minutes of sleep after all?

We were waiting in the airport on the way home and they had a fallen soldier who had come in on the flight. It was an extremely somber moment in what is usually the hustle and bustle of the airport.

I am spending a couple days this week visiting my good friend Jason Domingues with Jamie for a much needed break and some R&R. I have been shooting a bit for my good friend and gown designer Suzanne Perron, finishing up a project that will turn into a book published by LSU press. Needless to say, it has been amazing to work on and I was so honored that she chose me to work with her. A couple of weeks ago she called me ecstatic that one of her gowns had made it to the finals for a brides.com competition.

This past week we had the chance to photograph the gown again and I just wanted to post a link to the competition. I am really excited for her and also that we got some fantastic images of the beautiful gown! If you have time please vote at the link below (hers is dress #11).

 I got a text last week from a friend letting me know that I had been nominated for The Times of Acadiana “Best of Acadiana” in the Photographer Category!
