This past week I had the chance to spend some time in New Orleans shooting for gown designer Suzanne Perron. You may have remembered Jolie & Richard’s wedding, and Jolie had one of Suzanne’s custom, one of a kind gowns. Suzanne makes custom once-in-a-lifetime couture bridal & debutante gowns. It was amazing to be able to see some of her other gowns and to be able to see the entire process. She and her staff were incredible to work with. They pay such attention to detail with her gowns. I even had the chance to see her sketch out a design for an upcoming bride’s gown. We shot some at her beautiful shop on Magazine St. and also in a gorgeous home in New Orleans.
Make sure to view more of her gowns at her website here. I hope that we will be working again in the future and here are just a couple from the day.
Also thanks to my good friends Jamie Orillion & Beebe Tran for coming down to help me out for the day.
Blessings.
Jason

Suzanne also designs Mardi Gras ball gowns (this one was for Emily, the queen)

Lynn & Dave had a beautiful wedding this past weekend at Houma’s House in Darrow, Louisiana. They were such an amazing couple and all of the rain didn’t phase them. It was a really fun wedding (as you will see from some of the reception pictures) and I was so glad that we were able to join them. Here are just a few that I loved.
Blessings.

Dave opening up his Rolex, which was a wedding present from Lynn. She had been secretly saving for 5 years to buy it for him!

We had a chance to shoot some around the French Quarter a couple days before their wedding. It was really the perfect day to be shooting, not too hot, not too cold, and beautiful sun! Here are just a couple of my favorites. I should have some from their wedding in the next couple days so make sure to check back.
Blessings.

This week I had the opportunity to spend some time with my good friend Ben Spell, who was in from photography school in Massachusetts, shooting some for Parish to Parish and other personal work. On our way out to Parks, LA we passed by a house that caught my eye and I knew that we had to stop in. Mr. Babineaux gladly allowed us to photograph him and his house and shared a bit of his life with us in the process.
Right now I am entering the craziest time for me in the year and it was so refreshing to slow down, take out my camera, and spend some time with a stranger. I need to do that more often. Below are just a couple images that were my favorites.
Blessings.

I absolutely love the last dress! It would be perfect for my niece’s masquerade theme sweet 15.
